ROARY RACQUEL

Production Design. Art Department. Visual Storytelling.

Roary Racquel is a production designer and art department professional based between San Francisco, Los Angeles, and London. With a background in film production and scenic construction, she brings together architecture, craftsmanship, and visual storytelling to create immersive environments.

After earning a degree in Digital Film and Video Production from San Francisco Art Institute, she expanded her practice through set construction, fabrication, and decorative work.

Through the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and IATSE, she has contributed to large scale commercial and entertainment productions while continuing her design and drafting skills. Influenced by German Expressionism, surrealism, and bold cinematic colour, Roary approaches each project with curiosity, collaboration, and a deep appreciation for subtle details.

Away from the workshop and the set, Roary volunteers at Habitat for Humanity, building affordable housing. To unwind, she loves surfing a 9’3 log down the California Coast, roller skating around the apex in a roller derby bout, making a racket on drums at a local venue, while soaking up life through her medium format camera lens.

For creative inquiries and collaborations, contact her to discuss your artistic vision becoming reality.
